The Beatles, - Please Please Me/ Ask Me Why, original UK 1963 Red Parolphone label [45-R 4983] January 1963.

Neither label sides carry the silver text wording 'Made in Great Britian', matrices numbers are [side 1] 7XCE 17217 1N [side 2] 7XCE 17218 1N. Carries the upper and lower case lettering around the label edge.

Both with PT stampers [purchase tax codes] etched on both sides in dead wax run-off area. With mother Stampers 1/M on side 1 and 1/GD on side two

This is one of the hardest and rarest Beatles UK records to find, this style of label for this release was only pressed for about two weeks in mid January 1963 before EMI changed the label design to the more common black and silver text and also dropping the '45' prefix on the catalogue numbers.

The record is in a good EX+ condition, with just a few light surface marks, still very bright and full gloss. The labels again are in EX+ condition, with its deep rich red label and silver text, with no writting on either side or rips, all text is very clear bright. Comes with its 'colourful style' Parlophone Company sleeve which is in a VG+ condition and a  'diamond style' Parlophone Company sleeve, which is in a EX+ condition, again both free of any writting, the record would have been issued in either or of these two company sleeves.
